Ipoh, 8 December 2006 - United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd [UOB Malaysia] today concludes the UOB VOX Card Visa Wave Contest with the Grand Prize winner sitting proudly in a GSC cinema hall with his friends for the screening of Casino Royale - the latest James Bond blockbuster.

Mr Thong Chin Tong from Chemor, Perak is predictably delighted with his win, saying, "Oh, I'm so happy to win this contest! Imagine having the cinema hall all to myself…with free popcorn and drinks to top it off! The UOB VOX Card Visa Wave Contest began its run from 26 June to 30 September 2006 to promote the UOB VOX credit card - the hippiest and coolest card in town that lets the cardmembers to enjoy the most rewarding experience and financial flexibility. The Grand Prize winner got to choose his own private party - view a free movie screening in GSC complete with popcorn and drinks, or groove to the beats of Maison club scene with free flow of drinks all night long.

Apart from the Grand Prize, 50 Philips digital cameras were also given away as consolation prizes. In addition, every 12th Visa Wave transaction made each week entitled the cardmember (who charged the transaction) to a RM300 F&B voucher at Maison club.
