Special Relief Facility (SRF)

Special Relief Facility (SRF), with an allocation of RM10 billion by Bank Negara Malaysia, aims to help alleviate the short-term cash flow problems faced by SMEs adversely affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.

(Note : Financing should not be used for refinancing of  existing credit/financing facilities)

 

Features

  • Available under Term Loan only;

  • Maximum tenure of up to 5.5 years, including a moratorium period of 6 months;

  • Financing rate of up to 3.5% per annum inclusive of guarantee fees;

  • Maximum financing amount of up to RM1 million per SME;

  • Up to 80% guarantee coverage by Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan Berhad (SJPP) or Credit Guarantee Corporation (CGC).

  • Available from 6 March 2020 to 31 December 2020.

 

Eligibility

  • Meets the definition of SMEs issued by SME Corporation Malaysia;

  • Adversely effected by disasters as per assessment by BNM or in the areas identified by Agensi Pengurusan Bencana Negara or other competent authorities;

  • Registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), authorities/district offices in Sabah and Sarawak or statutory bodies for professional service providers;

  • Shareholding by Public Listed Companies and Government Linked Companies (if any) in the SMEs shall not exceed 20%; and

  • Malaysians residing in Malaysia that hold a minimum of 51% shareholding in the SMEs.
