UOB Malaysia opens branches on weekends this month to offer COVID-19 Relief Assistance Programme

The Bank continues to provide assistance to customers affected by the prolonged impact of the COVID-19 pandemic

 

Kuala Lumpur, 18 September 2020 – United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd (UOB Malaysia) today announced that it will open its branches nationwide on weekends in September 2020 to offer its COVID-19 Relief Assistance Programme1.

The branch opening schedule is as follows:

All UOB branches except Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu and Lebuh Bishop*
19 Sept, 20 Sept, 26 Sept & 27 Sept Saturday, Sunday 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
*Lebuh Bishop branch will be closed during weekends due to ongoing renovations.
Kota Bharu and Kuala Terengganu branches
18 Sept, 19 Sept, 25 Sept & 26 Sept Friday, Saturday 10:00 am to 1:00 pm


Mr Wong Kim Choong, Chief Executive Officer, UOB Malaysia, said, “We understand that some of our customers may require continued financial assistance after the loan moratorium ends on 30 September. This is why we are continuing with our COVID-19 Relief Assistance Programme to offer them support beyond the moratorium. For customers who may not be able to visit our branches during normal operation hours on weekdays to enquire about and apply for the additional relief assistance, we are opening our branches during weekends this month to provide them the additional convenience. We continue to support our customers through these difficult times and to help them get back on the road to recovery.”

Customers who wish to visit UOB Malaysia’s branches and seek financial relief assistance are advised to bring along the relevant supporting documents for the Bank to expedite their requests.
