Budget 2025: Key Highlights for SMEs & Microentrepreneurs
Guided by the theme of “Reinvigorating the Economy, Driving Reforms, and Prospering the Rakyat”, Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim tabled the national budget for the year 2025 with an allocation of RM421 billion – the biggest one to be tabled to date, with a 6.9% increase from last year’s national budget of RM393.8 billion.
In an effort to drive economic growth, various initiatives as well as multiple plans and assistance programmes have been tabled to assist the everyday Malaysian, specifically targeting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) under the latest national budget. Through Budget 2025, a greater emphasis is placed on economic recovery efforts and harnessing innovation to build a green, digital, and resilient future, while in pursuit of becoming a high-income nation.
