  • Why do I need to call from my registered phone number?
    This is part of our security measures to safeguard your account and reduce the risk of unauthorised access.

  • What if I call from a number that is not registered?
    If you call us from a non-registered number for requests related to your account, we may ask you to call again using your registered phone number.

  • Why can’t the bank verify me using other details instead?
    Calling from your registered phone number adds an extra layer of security. This helps to ensure your instructions are carried out safely and reduces the risk of unauthorised access.

  • Can the bank call me back instead?
    For security reasons, we may not be able to complete certain requests through a call back. You will be asked to contact us again using your registered phone number.

  • What if I am overseas?
    If you are overseas, you can still call us as long as you are using your registered phone number.

  • I have changed my registered phone number. What should I do?
    Please update your registered phone number with the bank as soon as possible. You may visit any UOB branch or submit a completed Personal Data Correction Form. Once updated, you may use the new number when contacting us.

  • Is there any guideline that requires calls to be made from a registered phone number?
    This requirement is part of the bank’s security practices to safeguard customer accounts.

  • What if I have lost my device and need to report suspected fraud urgently?
    If you have lost your device and need to report suspected fraud, please call our Fraud Reporting Hotline at +603 2612 8100 from any available number immediately.

  • Which types of requests require me to call from my registered number?
    To ensure your account is protected, you will be required to call us using your registered phone number for certain requests such as confirming a Secure PIN creation. Rest assured that these protections are in place to safeguard your account.
