  • You may check your balances and withdraw cash from over 11,000 PayNet Shared ATM Network & MEPS ATM ( MEPS ). Transaction fees are applicable to cash withdrawal*.
  • UOB Debit MasterCard is also your global ATM card. While travelling internationally, there is no need to worry about not having local currencies as you can access cash from more than 1 million ATMs in over 210 countries bearing the MasterCard, Maestro and Cirrus logo*.
  • If you are travelling in Singapore, Indonesia or Thailand, look out for UOB Regional ATM network*, you can check your balances and withdraw cash at any UOB ATMs in these countries.
  • MasterCard Cash Access** allows you to withdraw cash at selected merchants’ cashier counters when you perform a retail transaction of at least RM1 on your UOB Debit MasterCard.

    Fees and Charges apply.
    ** The minimum & maximum cash withdrawal per transaction is RM10 and RM300 respectively. Maximum transaction per day is up to RM1,000. The denomination of notes withdrawn is determined by the cashier and the card member must ensure that the cash handled to him/her is correct.

 

  • UOB Debit MasterCard has the contactless functionality that lets you make everyday purchases quickly and safely by tapping on reader device which comes with the universal contactless symbol. It is easier than ever, and it’s faster than fumbling with cash.
  • Contactless payment does not require PIN for any transactions up to RM250. For transaction above RM250, you will need to enter your PIN to complete the transaction.
  • Every time you perform contactless payments with cumulative of RM800, you will be required to make a contact transaction to reset the cumulative contactless amount. Any contact transaction performed in between contactless payments, the cumulative contactless amount will be reset to zero.
  • You may adjust the cumulative contactless transaction limit or deactivate this feature, by visiting any UOB branches in Malaysia.

  • With your UOB Debit MasterCard, there is no need to carry more cash around as it allows you to make purchases without cash.
  • Furthermore, all payment made on purchases requires PIN verification, which is more secured than signature verification.
  • You are able to verify your MyDebit transactions instantly by login to UOB Personal Internet Banking
  • You will be liable for PIN-based unauthorized transactions, if you have:
    • acted fraudulently
    • delayed in notifying us as soon as reasonably practicable after having discovered the loss or unauthorized use of your debit card;
    • voluntarily disclosed your PIN to another person; or
    • recorded your PIN on the debit card, or on anything kept in close proximity with your debit card and could be lost or stolen with your debit card.
  • You will be liable for unauthorized transactions which require signature verification or with contactless card, if you have:
    • acted fraudulently;
    • delayed in notifying us as soon as reasonably practicable after having discovered the loss or unauthorized use of your debit card;
    • left your debit card or an item containing your debit card unattended in places visible and accessible to others; or
    • voluntarily allowed another person to use your debit card.

The new UOB Debit MasterCard is now PIN enabled and consist of contactless payment feature which that lets you make everyday purchases quickly and safely with just a tap on contactless terminal with the universal contactless symbol.
As part of nationwide banking initiative to replace your signature for payment transaction authorization with PIN, you will be required to enter your PIN to make card payment at any point-of-sale terminal in Malaysia with effective from 1 July 2017.

The exchange rate between the Transaction Currency and the Billing Currency used for processing International Transactions is a rate selected by MasterCard International. Rates may vary from the rate MasterCard receives from wholesale currency markets or the government-mandated rate-in-effect for the date of such posting and may be subject to adjustment by the Bank at its absolute discretion.

 

In the event your UOB Debit MasterCard is lost or stolen, please call UOB121 to report your lost or stolen card or if you are travelling abroad, you can contact the MasterCard Global Service at 1-800-80-4594 or call collect to United States at 1-314-542-7111.

Do

  • Always keep your receipts and use them to check entries with account statements regularly.
  • Always memorize your PIN, and then destroy the PIN notification.
  • Always keep your card clean.
  • Always keep your card in a safe/secured place.
  • Always change your PIN periodically.
  • Always report immediately to your bank if your UOB Debit MasterCard is lost/stolen or your balance is incorrect.

    Note: You will assume no liability for unauthorised transaction(s) if you report your lost or missing card immediately.

Do Not

  • Do not allow a third party to transact on your behalf.
  • Do not throw your receipts away immediately after a transaction.
  • Do not keep your PIN:

    • in the same place as your card, address book or diary.

    • in your wallet, purse or in an unlocked drawer.

  • Do not leave your card in your briefcase, car or office drawer.
  • Do not place your card close to heat and direct sunlight or magnetic device i.e. TV, radio and etc).
  • Do not let magnetic strips of 2 cards come in contact.
  • Do not use the UOB Debit MasterCard if you see any unusual or suspicious apparatus attached to the machine.
